At Dimmitt we empower each other to be compassionate citizens and daring thinkers. We value innovation, leadership, and compassion.
Dimmitt families, by now you may have seen the Superintendent's email update that was sent on Sunday, March 8. I'm sending a follow-up email to ensure that you clearly understand the impacts of that message on our school.
Effective March 9, information nights, STEM nights, concerts, dances, plays, etc. are cancelled through March 22. The District will continue to monitor this situation and may extend these cancellations if warranted.

In the event that the decision is made to close school, you will be notified using the same channels that we use for notice of other emergency closures. If there are any decisions made to close schools, we will inform our community immediately via SchoolMessenger, our district website, and official social media channels: Facebook , Twitter, Instagram
Update Emergency Information
Please take a moment today to check that your contact information is current and your emergency contacts are updated. (It's important to have more than one emergency contact.)
Friday, March 13th the end of 2nd trimester, parents be sure to talk with your student to make sure all of the assignments have been turned in. We are a community of learners (parents, students and teacher/counselors) and it takes this community to support an environment for excellence in learning. THANK YOU ALL!
Please make sure that if your student is bringing home the College Bound Scholarship form, or if you are receiving it in the mail, you sign it and turn it to school. College Bound will help with some of those future college expenses, if you qualify.
Be sure to check your student's grades on Skyward. We are getting close to the end of 2nd trimester (March 13th) If your student has any missing assignments they need to turn them in, and if your student would like to try and raise their grade to a 3, they can talk with their teachers about re-taking tests or making up work.
